Hola! My name is Maria and I have been a therapist for over 24 years. I embrace the complexity of your wholeness as a person including your upbringing, your unique personality, your culture, and all your life experiences. I have experience with working with military (active and retired), and their families in issues of trauma. anxiety, depression, abuse, adjustment issues and life transitions as well as relationship struggles. Your mental health is important and I am passionate to help you with what you are struggling with.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapy style is eclectic, compassionate and client centered. i employ a wide range of modalities and interventions as each person has unique needs and ways of seeing and experience the world. I use trauma informed modalities such as EMDR, IFS, CBT, MBCT, TFCBT, as well as psychodynamic and attachment base approaches.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

First and foremost I'm interested in creating a safe, compassionate, and trusting place where you can feel comfortable enough to share your struggles. I have wide experience treating trauma whether is service related or childhood trauma. My goal for you is to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your life experiences, and develop coping skills that will help you deal with problems more effectively, and to feel seen and understood.
