Maria Metry is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Minnesota who has been practicing since 2014. She received her undergraduate degree from St. Catherine University and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota. Maria prides herself on creating an atmosphere of openness and acceptance with a little bit of humor. Her practice is based on getting to know the whole person and together creating a holistic plan to give her patients the most joy out of life. Maria's strengths include being empathic, nonjudgmental, and solution-focused. She is a fierce advocate for increasing access to mental health care and decreasing the stigma of mental illness. Outside of work, Maria enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, and doing anything active. Last season, she coached her nephew's basketball team.

It was easy to book and afterwards, they call you for registration. They also email you registration paperwork which made it very easy. They also made it easy to change from an in person appointment to office appointment. Maria was very nice and easy to talk to and she seemed to understand and validate my feelings and made me feel like I wasn't crazy. She also said that we can accommodate bringing children to my appointments too, which is so helpful!
