Marriage and Family Therapist

Feeling stressed? Isolated? Anxious? Overwhelmed by current circumstances? You are not alone. It is not easy navigating the complexities that are part of the human experience, especially today. Juggling self-care, responsibility to our families and loved ones, pressures of professional success, and other societal demands can disrupt our sense of balance and lead to emotional distress. For many, taking the first steps can feel scary, and it is important to find a therapist who is the right fit for you. I am a licensed therapist experienced in working with individuals and families struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. My work has focused on complex trauma, including breaking generational cycles of trauma and navigating family discord that can result from integrating two worlds. In my work I have supported individuals and families through growing up, raising their children, and bringing healing and harmony into the home. I welcome those struggling with self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, or those adjusting to life transitions. I can guide you in finding areas of strength while also challenging areas for growth in a compassionate way. Together we can work toward healing in a safe environment and create positive change to improve your quality of life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The journey to personal growth can feel intimidating and can sometimes include challenging and uncomfortable conversations; my goal is to meet you with compassion and understanding to build a trusting space where you feel seen and understood. Because I believe that an environment for healing needs to feel safe and supportive, my style is warm but firm, offering effective strategies in order to gently challenge unhealthy patterns and create meaningful change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session we'll spend some time getting to know each other and discuss what brought you to therapy. Together we will explore your goals and develop plans for how to achieve them. You can expect a collaborative and supportive experience where you will be encouraged and challenged to explore new perspectives and engage in self-reflection in order to make meaningful changes.
