Dr. Maria Pecora is a graduate of New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree, and completed her residency at Gouverneur Health. She is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. With her background in physical education, Dr. Pecora's main areas of focus include podiatric sports medicine, foot wound care, and diabetic foot care. At AdvantageCare Physicians (ACPNY), our Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPMs) are dedicated to diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions affecting the feet, ankles, and lower legs. Patients should see a podiatrist if they experience persistent foot swelling or numbness, painful bunions, difficulty walking, or ingrown toenails. Those with diabetes may also need regular foot exams to prevent or treat complications related to their condition.
