“This provider and the Kelsey-Seybold staff that we encountered were warm and friendly. We were seen very quickly. The provider was extremely good at listening and was gentle, which calmed our nerves. The staff in the treatment area were extremely attentive. The appointment at 7:00 in the morning was wonderful because of work commitments. Would 100% recommend this provider. We are actually looking to schedule other kinds of Doctor appointments at this location since we are currently looking for a new specialist and GP.”

About Maria Perez
Maria Perez-Salinas, MSN, AGNP-C, is an Adult Gerontology nurse practitioner at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007 at Stephen F. Austin University. In 2014, Maria earned her Master of Science in Nursing in Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).
Maria provides well care and treatment of acute conditions, such as UTIs and upper respiratory illnesses, for gerontology patients. She also manages chronic conditions, including kidney disease, diabetes, and obesity. Her focus is on keeping chronic medical conditions as stable as possible while preventing over-prescription of medications. Additionally, she strives to keep patients out of the hospital as much as possible. Maria joined Kelsey-Seybold in November 2023.

I would never go back here. I went in for a doctor visit told them I have a lump in my breast. The dr then scheduled me to do a mammogram and failed to tell me that I would have to pay out of pocket when I have insurance. This provider did not have my best interest..

Maria Perez was amazing and listened to all my needs. Very friendly with amazing bed side manner. Lab techs were also amazing and friendly. Reception was not very friendly or welcoming.

nurse practicioner was ok... felt like she wasnt really listening to me/was rushing to be done with the appointment. I got a physical, and i didn't know that addressing questions wouldn't be covered by my insurance. LONG story short, do not ask questions at a physical. The NP did not let me know every question I asked was costing me. so just do not do it. Would never come here again just being honest. unpleasant experience.
The np used ai to take notes on my appointment, which I foolishly consented to. Now I see this only cause the np to not really listen to me since ai was writing everything down for her.

Dr. Maria was amazing, very kind, listened to everything i had to say, and made sure i understand everything that was being done and guided to the proper direction when needing additional help. i will be seeing her as my new primary care physician!
