About Maria Spinoso
I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. I began my nursing journey by earning my Associate in Science of Nursing from Nassau Community College in 2004. After obtaining my degree, I worked as a registered nurse for nine years at St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage on a medical-surgical floor. During that time, I floated to various areas of the hospital, including telemetry, the step-down unit, and the medical unit. I have cared for people from all walks of life and experienced many different aspects of their health journeys.
I enjoyed being a nurse so much that I decided to return to school to become a Nurse Practitioner. While raising my family of four children and working per diem as a school nurse, I earned my Bachelor's degree and then a Master's in Nursing from Molloy University in Rockville Centre, graduating in 2018. After completing my education, I was able to pursue my dream of becoming a Nurse Practitioner and accepted a position as a Family Nurse Practitioner, where I have treated many different types of patients.
I find my career extremely fulfilling and look forward to supporting my patients through their best and worst moments. It gives me a deep sense of gratification to know I can be there to help someone when they need it most.
I am an active member of the American Nurses Association and hold certifications in BLS and ACLS.
Raised on Long Island, I have four beautiful children and enjoy spending time with my family and weekends at the beach.
