What should a new client know about working with you?

The new client should know and understand that I care for what I love and take it very important. My focus is the output from the patient making sure that they live a normal and functionable life as any other normal person in the society. My approach is good communication which is patient centered. I encourage the patient to engage in the plan of care. We interact and together come up with proposals and make final decisions on what we both think is best for the patient. Before any compromise, the patient is first of all open to expressing self, providing good information to be deliberated on. For best practice, I like to incorporate medications with therapy is needs be. I also schedule follow ups for continuity of care. I encourage compliance and consistency.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start by doing a psychiatry evaluation, asking pertinent questions which will enable me to understand the patient's mental health better. I will understand if any history oof mental health and the interventions if any. The patient should be able to let me know if any therapy in the past of not. I will propose from the evaluation what I think could be the treatment that would be helpful, explaining the reasons and rational for that plan of care and together, we will agree on what intervention would be best for the patient. I would always be opened up for ideas from the ideas and will encourage compliance and consistency. I will give education on medications, side effects and adverse effects and some expectations.
