Dr. Maria B. Walshe is a dedicated podiatrist and foot and ankle specialist serving patients across the Tampa Bay area. Born and raised in North Miami Beach, she is proud to call the West Coast of Florida home and is deeply committed to keeping her local community active, healthy, and pain-free.
Dr. Walshe provides comprehensive care for a wide range of lower extremity conditions, with a special clinical focus on pediatric foot care, geriatric podiatry, diabetic foot management, and wound care. She firmly believes that optimal health outcomes are built on a foundation of strong patient-physician partnerships. By combining clear communication, personalized treatment plans, and a welcoming sense of humor, she ensures her patients feel comfortable and fully informed at every stage of their care.
Dr. Walshe discovered her passion for medicine early in life. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida State University before obtaining her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) degree from Barry University's School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami. She then completed an extensive surgical residency at Baptist Health in South Florida, where she gained advanced training in trauma surgery, elective reconstructive procedures, and complex diabetic limb salvage.
Driven by a commitment to service, Dr. Walshe also participated in the Yucatan Crippled Children's Project in Merida, Mexico, treating rare pediatric lower-extremity deformities—an invaluable experience that shaped her compassionate approach to pediatric podiatry.
