What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe in creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can openly discuss your concerns and goals. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered, meaning we work together to develop a treatment plan that aligns with your needs, preferences, and lifestyle. During our first visit, I take time to understand your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current challenges, and treatment goals. I provide education about diagnoses and treatment options so you can make informed decisions about your care. I specialize in medication management while incorporating supportive, solution-focused techniques to help you build healthy coping skills and improve overall well-being. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, addiction, or substance use concerns, you can expect compassionate, evidence-based care focused on helping you achieve meaningful and lasting progress.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation during the initial appointment. We will discuss your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, past treatments, lifestyle factors, and goals for care. This allows me to develop a thorough understanding of your needs and determine the most appropriate diagnosis and treatment recommendations. If medication is appropriate, we will review the benefits, risks, and alternatives together and develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals. I also provide supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies during appointments, while referring patients who would benefit from ongoing psychotherapy to a therapist when appropriate. Follow-up visits focus on monitoring your progress, assessing symptom improvement, addressing any side effects or concerns, and making adjustments to your treatment plan as needed. My goal is to ensure you feel supported, informed, and actively involved in your care throughout the treatment process.
