About Marie Ambrose
When Marie started in practice, she had many interests and wanted to experience all that being a Dietitian could include. Her experiences have been varied, working with many different populations-from those in their late teen years to some nearing 100 years old. Marie delights in connecting with them all and enjoys being there for them. She has known people with not only food issues but also those who felt insecure about cooking. Some had very busy and complicated lives with no time to cook, leading them to believe they could not choose to eat "healthy" foods. It was her pleasure to help them learn not only why but how they could improve their health with food. Others found eating "healthy" foods too confusing or lacking flavor and were surprised and happy to find out they were wrong. Marie's motto is, "If you don't like it, you don't have to eat it-but there are so many choices!" She has also served those with very complicated health issues, from diabetes to heart disease and kidney disease. She has helped those who wanted to lose weight and worked with people who either want to exercise but have chronic pain or know they need to exercise but do not like it. Marie earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nutritional Sciences from San Diego State University, which has provided a strong foundation for her diverse and compassionate approach to dietetics.
