What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach begins with listening—truly listening to what you’re experiencing, what has or hasn’t helped in the past, and what you want your life to feel like moving forward. Care is never one‐size‐fits‐all. You are seen as a whole person shaped by your experiences, values, and culture—not just a diagnosis—and every decision is made with you, not for you. Support is available in Spanish, and care is provided with respect for your cultural background and lived experience. Treatment centers on thoughtful, individualized medication management, combined with supportive therapy to help you feel more stable, confident, and informed about your care. Medications are selected carefully and adjusted with intention, with clear explanations and close follow‐up—so you don’t feel rushed, unheard, or left navigating trial‐and‐error alone. Supportive therapy is integrated into visits to help you process emotions, gain insight, and develop practical tools for managing stress, mood changes, anxiety, and life transitions. This approach is especially helpful if you feel overwhelmed, discouraged by past treatment experiences, or uncertain about how to move forward. The goal is for you to feel supported, empowered, and grounded, with a clear and culturally responsive plan that evolves as your needs change—so you can regain control, restore hope, and move toward lasting well‐being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session is designed to feel safe, supportive, and unrushed—a space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard without judgment. Care is provided with cultural sensitivity, and support is available in Spanish, so you can communicate in the language that feels most natural to you. The goal of this first meeting isn’t to have everything figured out, but to begin creating clarity, relief, and a sense of direction. We’ll start by focusing on you—what you’ve been struggling with, how your symptoms are impacting your daily life, what has or hasn’t worked in the past, and what you hope will change. Your background, values, and lived experiences are honored as part of this process. If medication is part of your care, we’ll take a thoughtful, individualized approach by reviewing prior experiences, discussing options clearly, and setting realistic expectations—so you feel informed, respected, and involved every step of the way. Supportive therapy is also woven into the session, offering space to process emotions, feel validated, and begin building practical tools to better manage anxiety, depression, mood changes, or overwhelm. Together, we’ll identify initial goals and outline clear, manageable next steps—so you leave feeling grounded and supported, rather than uncertain. Above all, the environment is warm, collaborative, and pressure‐free. There is no need to have the “right words” or a perfect explanation—just come as you are. The aim is for you to leave feeling understood, respected, and hopeful that meaningful, culturally responsive care can help you move forward.
