Upon coming to the US, she completed the Psychiatric Residency Program at Westchester Medical Center/ Behavioral Health Center, Valhalla, NY. While in training, she was certified in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy by Psychoanalytic Institute of New York Medical College. Dr. Tourkova received additional training as a Geriatric Psychiatrist through a Fellowship Program at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of New York. In 2003, Dr. Tourkova founded the Center of Revitalizing Psychiatry, and has since been leading and managing it as a Medical Director. The Center provides a full spectrum of outpatient psychiatric and psychotherapeutic services for children, adults and elderly in the Bergen County area. Since 2003, the Center has been able to help more than 12,000 patients. In 2012, Dr. Tourkova opened a second branch in Sarasota, FL area. Dr. Tourkova is well-known and respected by the community and has been chosen by her patients for the Patient’s Choice Physician Award 5 years in a row.
