My hope is for all people to be free of shame and guilt when talking about their struggles with mental health. I have experience treating a variety of disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, and eating disorders. I strive to create a strong therapeutic and collaborative relationship to provide the best quality of care. My passions include working with clients with dual diagnoses and supporting them through their journey of recovery from substance abuse. I believe in a comprehensive approach that includes various treatment modalities such as complementary and alternative medicine, supportive psychotherapy, and pharmacological options in the treatment of mental illness. I am enthusiastic about applying my experience and compassion with clients as they begin to address their issues, helping them improve their quality of life and attain a sense of fulfillment.
I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who graduated with a Master’s Degree in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles. I began my educational journey by earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Fascinated by the interaction between genetics, epigenetics, environment, and mental health, I was inspired by my interactions with other nurses to pursue a career in nursing. I then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of California, Irvine before pursuing my dream of working in psychiatry.

Marina is a great psychiatrist, she takes time to understand what’s happening with your mental health and will definitely provide great insight and advice to you on how you can deal with your mental health diagnosis if you have one . I recommend her as a psychiatrist.

I had a positive first meeting with Marina. She was very easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable and at ease right off the bat. The first appointment I’m always full of anxiety because I have to start from the beginning on my background, meds, and history, which is hard to talk through and revisit at times. I didn’t feel rushed and she was patient helping me troubleshoot some tech issues with the virtual portal. She was good at listening and offering referrals for other forms of therapy that i might benefit from. I was uneasy going into my appointment but felt a huge weight lifted by the end and willl definitely continue seeing her monthly.
