Mario Solomita, DO, graduated from the New York Institute of Technology, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2002. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital. Since 2009, Dr. Solomita has been practicing as a pulmonologist.

So far, I’ve visited this practice and seen Dr. Solomita twice, and both experiences have been excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by the minimal wait time on both occasions. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, even assisting with the self-check-in process. The medical team was attentive, courteous, and made me feel at ease.
Dr. Solomita is exceptionally patient and thorough. I came in feeling confused and concerned about my symptoms, as I’ve never had asthma before. He took the time to explain everything clearly, putting my worries into perspective and providing a treatment plan I could easily understand. He also explained how each medication works—something that doesn’t always happen in other offices.
Overall, I’m very happy and grateful to be a patient here.

Office was decent, staff was accommodating, and Dr. Solomita was kind and welcoming. My only gripe, which doesn't reflect the quality of care on the day of my appointment, is the timeliness and resource of the treatment. Available treatment is 2 months out and I just don't think that's acceptable.

Dr. Solomita was excellent during my visit. He listened to my concerns and talked through everything thoroughly with a calm and pleasant demeanor. Did not feel rushed or sidelined. Had me do low level testing first before going straight to CT scans. Sent upstairs for a quick X ray and was back in the office in less than 15 minutes. Went through my results right away and explained everything clearly. Highly recommend him for anyone with pulmonary or sleep apnea issues
