What should a new client know about working with you?

DISCLAIMER: We are not able to accept Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time. My desire to make a difference in people's lives began long before my career in psychiatry. As a child, I spent my summers volunteering at a home for unhoused children with developmental and physical disabilities, an experience that instilled in me a deep sense of purpose and a lifelong commitment to serving others. As I grew older, I witnessed firsthand the gap in access to psychiatric care within my own family and community. I saw how difficult it was for people to get the mental health support they needed, and how too often that meant ending up in an emergency room rather than receiving the consistent, compassionate primary psychiatric care they deserved. That reality shaped my path – I became a psychiatric nurse practitioner driven by the belief that every person deserves personalized, high-quality mental health care, and I carry this commitment into every session.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our sessions, you can expect a supportive and welcoming environment where you are never just a diagnosis. I believe that the best outcomes happen when you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your own care, which is why everything we do together is built around your unique needs and goals. My approach to care is collaborative, patient-centered, and grounded in evidence-based practice, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and psychotherapeutic tools to help you develop practical strategies for managing challenges and building the life you want. I communicate directly and clearly, and you can always count on me to provide honest, thorough, evidence-based explanations of my assessments and recommendations. My commitment is not simply to help you cope, but to help you flourish in every aspect of your life.
