About Dr. Marjorie Yong
Dr. Marjorie Yong helps patients achieve a healthier life by addressing not only individual medical problems such as diabetes, high cholesterol, or hypertension but also obesity, which often underlies these disorders. With over 13 years of experience, Dr. Yong has worked with patients reducing weight for health reasons, including pre- and post-gastric bypass patients, children, and adults. Some desire only to lose a few pounds, while others need to lose 80–100 pounds or more. Her goal is to help everyone achieve a healthier weight for long-term benefits. In addition to weight loss treatment, she advises on general health maintenance and screens for other disorders. Dr. Yong earned her Doctor of Medicine from Augusta University, completed her residency in Family Practice at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center, and pursued a fellowship in Nutrition at the University of California, Los Angeles.
