“Dr. Bruns is like Dr. Marucs Welby, for those of us old enough to remember that show. He is patient, explains everything thoroughly, is knowledgeable, and always tries to find a solution for your medical problem. Yes, he's always late, BUT that's because he is helping someone, and making sure they get the best care for whatever they came in for.”

“Such a fantastic encounter...Dr. Mark Bruns is of the classical generation (a rare breed) of physician who provide kindness, compassion and connection in the patient encounter. It was unbelievable that such dedicated, gentle doctor still is available for a new patient evaluation. He was amazing in his interaction; he listened, made eye contact (was not typing on the computer while seeing us) and addressed all of our concerns. I literally thought we were on a different planet as health care has become such the assembly line, impersonal and doctors are so highly stressed by completing the electronic medical record and all their documentation tasks that they cannot just sit and talk to the patient, the old fashioned way. Something tells me he does the paperwork on his own time and spends the clinic time with his patients; not sure how he does this; (IUH should consider getting him a scribe so he do the healing work, then he could practice much longer). Oh man--this is one of the finest MD-pt interactions I have ever witnessed. Young physicians should watch him in action-Dr. Bruns is a superstar/ 10+/hits it out of the ballpark.”

Dr. Bruns was polite, thorough, helpful and knowledgeable. He conveyed a genuine empathy and supportive demeanor. He listened to my concerns, explained what could be going on, provided options and discussed what things would look like going forward. The staff were friendly, efficient and polite. I was quite pleased with the experience and would recommend them!

I had a long visit with Dr. Bruns and felt like he was truly getting to know me. My appointment with his lasted about 45 minutes where we discussed my health history, issues I've experienced and his recommended solutions. Great experience, but I didn't actually see him until 40 minutes after my scheduled time, so that was the downside.
Verified patient
Quick and to the point. Very satisfied.
Probably the nicest doctor I’ve ever visited! I really enjoyed meeting with Dr. Burns, I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a doctor. He listened to all my concerns and talked me through some options and remedies for how I was feeling.

I didn't like the fact that you have to answer very personal questions at the desk for all to hear. ?? They had a hard time getting me registered saying it was because I went through Zocdoc. I didn't feel as though I was examined well enough considering I was a new patient. I'm diabetic and usually the doc will check my feet, etc. None of that happened on this visit.
He is a great doctor

Everyone was very professional: My thanks,
Have been seeing Dr. Bruns for about 7 years now, he is very informative and courteous. Very caring professional demeanor. Staff is always helpful and kind too, especially Kim.
Verified patient
As usual, Dr. Bruns is very nice and willing to listen to my concerns. When test results are good, he’s very enthusiastic about it, and when they’re not so great, he seems to sympathize with your disappointment as well. I wish some of the ER doctors would seem to care as much as he does.
Verified patient
Excellent care as usual!!
Verified patient
Informative, organized and thorough. I went in and did not have to wait too long to be seen (around 6 minutes). While the doctor is working with other patients, the nurses are getting things accomplished, until he comes in. I always try to book things when the office is most likely to be empty, so on this first visit, I was not disappointed.
Professional and will spend time to answer questions. Thorough evaluation and tells you why he thinks something needs to be done.
Saw Dr. Bruns when my usual physician was not in. He is well known to me. very pleasant and very knowledgeable. I was having a mild upper respiratory problem which wouldn't resolve. I followed his treatment plan with resolution of the problem
Patiently listened to every concern. Answered every question I had. Made careful and appropriate recommendations. Very knowledgable. Everything I want in a primary care physician.
I always enjoy how personable the receptionists are, they are very friendly and call you by name. My Doctor Susan Kiray is Great, she is very sweet, she listens and make you feel like she really cares about me and what is going on with my visit there. Doctor Bruns is who I see when my doctor is out, they both are Great doctors who care about their patients
Always quick, incisive and friendly. All support staff are excellent, even fun. Am now receiving PT from Trish on Kessler Blvd who is a dream !
I am always ushered into an exam room almost immediately, but invariably have to wait for the doctor. Once there, he gives me his full attention, is an excellent listener, and gives me opportunity for questions. The front desk staff is courteous and efficient, as are the competent lab professionals and the check-out personnel. I am always happy to reconnect with his very caring medical assistant and we keep track of each other's families.
