Getting to know Mark Lindsay

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner providing compassionate, evidence-based telehealth care for adults throughout Arizona. I treat a variety of mental health conditions, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and stress-related concerns. Most new patients can be seen within 2–5 business days, ensuring timely access to care when support is needed. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their treatment. I believe effective mental health care begins with a thorough understanding of each person’s unique experiences, challenges, and goals. My approach combines comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, thoughtful medication management, patient education, and therapeutic support to help individuals achieve meaningful and lasting improvement. By considering both mental and physical health, I work with patients to identify the factors contributing to their symptoms and develop practical treatment plans tailored to their needs. At Renewal Mental Health, the focus is not simply on managing symptoms, but on helping patients build resilience, restore balance, and improve their overall quality of life. Through secure telehealth appointments, I strive to make high-quality psychiatric care accessible, convenient, and personalized for adults across Arizona.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I strive to create a supportive, respectful, and judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns openly. My approach is collaborative and patient-centered, combining evidence-based psychiatric care, thoughtful medication management, education, and therapeutic support. I believe that lasting improvement comes from understanding the whole person, not simply treating symptoms. Patients can expect a thorough evaluation, open communication, and individualized treatment recommendations based on their unique needs and goals. I encourage active participation in treatment decisions and work closely with patients to develop a plan that supports both symptom improvement and long-term wellness. To ensure safe and responsible prescribing practices, I do not prescribe benzodiazepines, stimulants, or opioid medications during the initial evaluation. Additionally, replacement prescriptions are not provided for medications reported as lost, stolen, damaged, or used earlier than prescribed. When controlled medications are clinically appropriate, prescribing decisions are made only after a comprehensive assessment and review of relevant medical records, prescription monitoring data, and treatment history.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During your first appointment, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to gain a thorough understanding of your concerns, symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, strengths, and treatment goals. This process helps ensure that recommendations are tailored to your unique circumstances rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Depending on your needs, treatment may include medication management, supportive therapy, education about your condition, and practical strategies to improve daily functioning and overall well-being. I believe the most effective care is collaborative, and I encourage patients to actively participate in treatment decisions. Follow-up appointments focus on monitoring progress, addressing challenges, evaluating medication effectiveness when applicable, and making adjustments to help you achieve lasting improvement. My goal is to provide a supportive, judgment-free environment where patients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward better mental health.
