Dr. Mark Nicolau, MD

Surgeon
2649 Schoenersville Rd, Ste 202, Bethlehem, PA
Philosophy of Care I believe patients deserve the best care possible, and a multidisciplinary approach is essential to achieving this. Regardless of the medical field—whether nursing staff or various types of physicians—we are all on the patients' side, working together to help them heal and provide the highest quality care they deserve. Why I Entered Medicine Since I can remember, I have been fascinated by the sciences, excelling in them throughout school. In college at The College of New Jersey, a physiology course ignited my passion for life sciences. Surgery, as a life science, integrates physiology, pathology, and medicine. Combined with the importance of good rapport and bedside manners, surgery allows me to treat the patient as a whole. Helping patients with a focus on their individuality is my passion, and I am committed to ensuring excellent care. Education and Training I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. I completed my internship and residency in surgery at Morristown Medical Center, which provided me with comprehensive surgical training and experience. Personal Interests Outside of medicine, I enjoy photography, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, cooking, going to the beach, traveling as much as possible, and learning about new technologies in medicine and health sciences.
