Dr. Mark Strom received his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities where he graduated summa cum laude. He obtained his medical degree at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago where he completed extensive research into the epidemiology of atopic dermatitis and chronic inflammatory skin diseases. After completing a preliminary residency year in Internal Medicine at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago, he went on to complete his dermatology residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Columbia University Medical Center.
Dr. Strom sees patients of all ages for general, medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. He is passionate about providing treatment plans individualized to each patient’s specific needs. Outside of work, he enjoys swimming, hiking, and finding new restaurants, and he hopes to be able to travel again soon.

The doctor saw me right on time. The provider was very knowledgeable, but he spoke too fast and seemed rushed from the moment he walked into the room. He was very straight-forward in his approach to my visit. As he explained the medication options, he listed all the side effects and studies very quickly. It was difficult to absorb all the information at once. The provider was very knowledgeable, but the visit felt cold and disconnected. Although I appreciate expediency, there is a certain "warmth" that
you expect from your doctor. I felt like a task on his list that needed to be completed.

Yearly skin check was quick but thorough! Dr. Strom answered all of my questions, a few of which were not mole/skin-check related, which was really nice. He came highly recommended by my primary care doc and I’ll def continue seeing him!

I went here for my yearly scan.
I had to wait for 40 minutes to see the doctor. I understand things get hectic, but it’s frustrating to receive no explanation, acknowledgement, or apologies for the wait.
My time with the doctor was incredibly hurried. I understand they’d obviously been running late but I was surprised to feel a bit as though I was inconveniencing them.
In the minute or so it took me to gather my things to leave the exam room, two different nurses opened the door in rapid succession.
When I left, I was given a sheet listing 3 prescriptions, only one of which we’d discussed at all during the appointment. Very confusing.

I would go back. However I found out that the procedure involved was not covered by my insurance on spot as considered as “cosmetic”. The procedure itself took less than 3 minutes for a $200 cost !!!!! That said it was nicely done and I did not feel any pain.

Office is easily accessible by mass transit. It seems most clientele in the area are of young age cohort. Nice waiting area, elevator location and usage not primary method recommended to move through building. They have other services in this location.
Medical staff recommended multiple visits if several conditions were of concern. Expected skin biopsy for primary concern MD recommended it not warranted at this time.
Md gave good skin care maintenance for other condition and was open for additional visits regarding other skin concerns.
Nice decor, some clutter in main wait areas. Front people were knowledgeable with scheduling.

Dr. Strom was wonderful. Efficient, clear communicator, and friendly. I waited less than 5 minutes before being seen. I will be definitely be going back for my regular skin check next year.

Dr. Storm was excellent (as are most of the Mount Sinai doctors at this practice) — after weeks of unanswered questions and misdiagnosis, he was FINALLY able to give me an accurate response / next step. He was incredibly been calm and pragmatic while I underwent the procedure, which put me at ease from beginning to end.
