“I have probably attended appointments with more psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and PCPs over the past few years than a typical ADHD patient (due to traveling) and can say, without reservation, that Dr Walker has been one of the most responsive (usually communicates back within an hour or a few max), knowledgeable, helpful and approachable medical professionals I have had the pleasure of meeting with.
Time unfortunately won't permit for me to share a detailed overview of the aspects I appreciate most re his approach and patient-centric style versus that of other providers so instead I will close out by saying - 5/5 star rating so far - in my personal experience.

Getting to know Dr. Mark Walker

AND AVMED COMMERCIAL PLANS AND I DO NOT ACCEPT OUT OF NETWORK INSURANCE. MY TREATMENT APPROACH IS TO PROVIDE MEDICATION MANAGEMENT WITH SUPPORTIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY.
Historically, I attended adult psychiatric residency training from 1993 to 1995 at St. Lukes - Roosevelt Medical Ctr, which is an affiliate of Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. There we received many patients coming in from their homes, from local law enforcement, and from other referring entities who were in many cases presenting with true life-threatening psychiatric emergencies.
Thereafter, I attended child and adolescent psychiatric fellowship training at the University of Florida for 2 years.
This was also challenging and fulfilling work with our young patients presenting with attention deficit disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, as well as trauma victims, depression and anxiety disorders.
Subsequently, I worked for the Florida Department of Corrections as an attending psychiatrist rendering services to inmates.
I have also worked as the chief attending inpatient psychiatrist for a long standing and well established behavioral health facility in West Palm Beach, Fla. for 7 consecutive years ending in 2019, when this mental health treatment center, a cornerstone to the community, went into financial insolvency. It is our legacy that we provided safe, effective and compassionate care to our patients.
Henceforth, I have provided psychiatric services for multiple different out-patient treatment programs in Central and South Florida.
