As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am committed to providing compassionate , evidence based care that empowers individuals to improve their mental health and overall well- being. I believe in treating the whole person, recognizing that emotional, psychological, physical and social factors all play a vital role in mental wellness.
My approach is collaborative, nonjudgemental, and client centered. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing their concerns. Together, we develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, supportive therapy, education, and lifestyle strategies tailored to each person’s unique goals and needs.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders. ADHD or other mental health challenges, my goal is to help you build resilience, develop health coping skills and achieve lasting emotional wellness. I am dedicated to fostering trust, promoting hope, and supporting every client on their journey towards healing and a more fulfilling life.
What should a new client know about working with you?
As a new client, you can expect a respectful, collaborative space where your experiences are valued. We'll begin by talking through your concerns, your goals, and what matters most to you. Together, we'll create a treatment plan that may indicate medication management, therapy, and practical strategies tailored to you needs. I aim for a safe and supportive environment where you can build resilience and work towards lasting emotional wellness.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My typical process starts with creating a welcoming, non-judgmental space where patients feel heard. From there, I do a thorough psychiatric evaluation, talking through current concerns, history, symptoms and goals. Then together, we build a treatment plan that might include mediation management, therapy referrals, lifestyle strategies, or supportive counseling. I focus on Collaboration and clear communication, checking in regularly to monitor progress and adjust the plan as needed. Ultimately, my aim is to support long term mental wellness with evidence-based care.

I had a really good experience with Marphene. She made the whole thing feel super comfortable. She listened to everything I said, actually gave me room to talk, and explained medication options in a way that actually made sense. Her office is clean, nicely decorated, and has a relaxed vibe. She also gave me helpful resources and a referral for therapy. Very down to earth, very thorough. I’d recommend her without hesitation.

I had a great experience with Marphene at Balance Mind and Wellness Psychiatry! She was very knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to address all of my ADHD concerns. She explained the different medication options, including stimulants vs. non-stimulants and immediate vs. extended release, in a way that was easy to understand. I really appreciated that she didn’t rush me and gave me the information I needed to make an informed decision. I definitely recommend her!

I had a really great experience with Marphene Joseph. She made the whole conversation feel real and chill, and she went out of her way to provide me with as much information as possible. She gave me multiple options to consider, and explained the state laws around ADHD treatment and the requirements, so I knew exactly what to expect. Very informative, very down to earth, and it was clear she really cares about making sure her patients understand their options.

Unprepared beforehand - I needed an additional procedure and to come in person which she failed to communicate. Exaggerated treatment codes. Gaslit me after when I tried to amicably talk about it. Arrived 15+ mins late and the call lasted 5 mins because she did not prep.

Ms. Joseph is an absolute pleasure to work with. I manage a group home for adults with autism and severe behaviors and Ms. Joseph is very accommodating when it comes to ensuring all residents receive top of the line services. Ms. Joseph is very knowledgeable able DDD requirements making documentation a breeze.
