Dr. Ali was superb - suggested several additional tests to make sure to rule out other underlying conditions and was a great listener to my myriad of daily aches and pains. I only have one con. While I understand bariatric references should be provided to patients, i feel like her decorum around that subject was rather curt and a little too straightforward for my liking. Weight is often a side effect of these crippling endocrinological issues and not a root cause a lot of the time, and i feel like she suggested that surgical/medicinal intervention was the 1st & only way I could get my weight under control - without asking my diet, exercise levels, anything. Fortunately I’m looking into assisted WL because it’s hard as someone with an under active thyroid, so I shrugged it off and toughened up! It was a little peculiar but I think she’s brilliant and an overall sweet person. Would recommend to anyone straight sized in a heartbeat, and to larger folks with tough skin ??
