About Dr. Marta Gielarowiec
Dr. Gielarowiec earned both her Doctor of Audiology (AuD) and her bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from St. John's University, part of the Long Island AuD Consortium with Adelphi, Hofstra, and St. John's Universities. Her clinical experience includes working with a diverse population of patients in various settings such as ear, nose, and throat clinics, private practices, and hospitals in the New York City area. Her areas of interest include behavioral and electrophysiological hearing evaluation, as well as the management of hearing loss through amplification and hearing rehabilitation.
Dr. Gielarowiec strongly believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to hear. Her goal is to treat each patient as family, and she is committed to helping every person reach their highest communication potential. Her favorite part of being an audiologist is building lasting relationships with her patients. She feels that understanding each patient's life experiences and lifestyle is not only important but critical to improving their hearing and communication needs.
Throughout her career, Dr. Gielarowiec has taken a special interest in humanitarian audiology and has spent time in Trinidad and Tobago fitting hearing devices to those in need. This experience gave her the perspective that hearing is truly a life-changing gift we can give to others, both in our neighborhoods and around the world.
Dr. Gielarowiec holds certification through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in the State of New York as a clinical and dispensing audiologist. When not helping others hear better, she enjoys traveling, volunteering in her community, and spending time with family.

For several years i have been researching hearing aids for the severe hearing loss I have in one ear due to surgery but without good results. Dr Marta G was the first one I have gone to who had the knowledge and experience to directly address my issue, correctly test me and work with me to find the best hearing aid for me specifically. She is easy to talk to, takes time to give you lots of options and offers a great plan so that I can check in any time with any problems or concerns once I have my hearing aid. I recommend her highly.

It upsets me very much to write this review but it has to be done. Whenever I have needed any kind of specialist, seeking the highest rated on ZocDoc has always been my go to and it has never failed. Not this time. I made my appointment, did the pre-appointment checkout and was all set for 3:15 Friday. I arrived at the office and the VERY nasty lady at the front desk told me I did not have an appointment. She said there were no appointments booked for today. She then told me to "take a seat" - the office was empty! There was literally nobody else in there but her and I. Then I tried to show her my phone with the text confirming the appointment she said "I don't care I don't want to see that" Finally when I asked why I can't be seen she started doing some very weird sort of deep voice yelling at me, like as if on a nature show. This place is very very sketchy, doesn't even feel professional. Not ethical and I am not sure how they got their high score on ZocDoc but this isn't the place

My first appointment with Dr. Marta Gielarowiec exceeded my expectations. I arrived 45 minutes early and was taken almost immediately. Dr. Gielarowiec spent nearly an hour with me - answering all my questions, taking my hearing aid history, conducting hearing tests and then discussing in detail the results of the tests as well as recommending replacement hearing aids. I highly recommend her and the practice.

Great experience, waited about 10-15 minutes, made me feel at ease, put my health and well-being first. When she saw my test showed some hearing issues, she immediately started calling ENTs to see who could see me that evening. She said it shouldn’t wait! Very good listener, and very compassionate as well.
