About Dr. Martha Maso

Dr. Maso has been practicing full time at Westwood Dermatology since 1990.
Dr. Maso earned a B.S. degree with Honors in Nutritional Science from Cornell University in 1977. She subsequently studied nutrition and environmental health at the University of Michigan, where she earned her Master's Degree in Public Health in 1980. Dr. Maso graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School in 1986, and went on to complete her Dermatology Residency at Columbia University - College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1990. She is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Occupational Medicine.
Dr. Maso is a member of the Bergen County Medical Society, the Medical Society of New Jersey, the New Jersey Dermatological Society, the American Academy of Dermatology, of which she is a Fellow, and the American College of Preventive Medicine. She is an Associate in Clinical Dermatology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. For over 17 years, Dr. Maso has collaborated with the Hillsdale Health Department by volunteering at borough sponsored annual skin cancer screenings.

The office is organized and has friendly staff. My appointment started promptly and finished within 20 minutes upon my arrival.
Doctor Maso was overall fine. She had good bedside manners.
However, the overall visit felt rushed and I felt as though the doctor was not interested in giving me time to ask her questions. I would've appreciated it if the doctor asked if I had any questions instead of her rushing to leave the room.

Dr Maso is just the best Dermatologist I have known, she is professional, listens very carefully gives you enough time.. she see's that she explained her very well. Dr Maso is to the point and gives great solutions for any dermatology issues. I highly recommend Dr Maso she is the best a must visit at least every 6 months. The office staff is very strict I was late by 10-15 mins I informed in advance as I was stuck in traffic.. they then took me in instead of cancelling. thanks

1st time seeing a dermatologist and not much was explained clearly before 3 pieces of my skin were biopsied. Very quick to prescribe drugs. Felt rushed even though no one was waiting when I left.

Yes , I would highly recommend Dr. Maso ,she explained what needed to be done and did it painlessly. She suggested I make a follow up appointment for a complete check up. The staff was very helpful and made it quick and easy to set up another appointment .
