Mary Parker, PMHNP

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
FL
As a psychiatric nursing professional, it has been Mary’s honor to work hand in hand with people experiencing mental health needs. This has been her passion for over 30 years. From school-age children to grandparents, she has worked with individuals at many stages of wellness. Her experience includes all diagnoses related to a general psychiatry practice as well as addiction medicine, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused care. Her use of empathy and skillful assessment ensures her clients receive the care they desire. Safety and education are emphasized when providing treatment. Goals are achieved by identifying bothersome symptoms and developing a treatment plan that supports healing and independence. Under her care, patients are encouraged to ask questions and take an active role in their recovery. Life can be challenging, and meeting with a psychiatric nurse practitioner can open the door to solutions and the end of indecision or uncertainty. Mary grew up in Michigan before moving to Upstate New York, where she attained her nursing credentials and earned a Master’s in Family Psychiatric Nursing from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University. She relocated to Florida six years ago for the tropical weather and beautiful beaches. A fan of all types of music, she stays up to date on fitness and wellness. Mary has been a proponent of telemedicine for many years and understands its value in providing mental health management for her clients. She loves animals, enjoys boating, and tries to spend as much time as possible on the water with her family and friends.
