Dr. Mary Salke has been practicing psychiatry for more than 25 years in New York City, and has been in private practice in Manhattan and Westchester for 20 years. After completing her undergraduate degree in psychology at University of California, Berkley, Dr. Salke attended Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and was Chief Resident at NYU School of Medicine.
Dr. Salke is known as a warm, compassionate and dedicated physician. She utilizes both psychodynamic and cognitive therapies as well as psychopharmacology when indicated. She uses a holistic approach and tailors her treatment to each individual’s needs. Her areas of expertise include treatment of anxiety and mood disorders.
Dr. Salke helps patients face their psychiatric and personal challenges through a thoughtful and tailored treatment approach. She helps patients work through everyday challenges in their relationships and careers, and helps them to attain a purpose-driven, meaningful and joyful life.

Dr. Salke is the person I trust most in my life. She has helped me get through some of the lowest points in my life and create a life worth living. Her knowledge of medication and treatment modalities is unparalled. One of the best things about Dr. Salke is that she is very responsive. She has helped me find a level of joy and balance. I didn't know was possible. I highly recommend her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Salke's for almost 17 years, which should speak for itself :-). She has been the best doctor I could hope for. I am a happy, successful, stable person today BECAUSE of her treatment. It may sound dramatic but the world is a better place because of her. I owe her my life - my sanity - and quite simply, she is the best.
