“Our visits are excellent. Dr. Salehi is kind, throughout, and warm. When dealing with sensitive mental health issues it’s important for a patient to feel comfortable enough to open up and be vulnerable about their thoughts and feelings. Dr. Salehi made my daughter feel comfortable enough to openly talk. Her Pediatrician misdiagnosed her for 2 years. She was previously on Zoloft and we weren’t seeing the results we hoped for. We suspected it was not what she was being treated for and she Ultimately attempted suicide. Her stay in the mental unit was out opportunity to have someone see that she needed a neuropsychologist. The waitlist in Duluth was over a year long. We were able to get in with Dr. Salehi withina week of her discharge. He actually listened to our concerns and to our daughter’s feelings. We got a great treatment plan, and she was put on the correct meds to treat her appropriately and she has been thriving. We are extremely satisfied with our care from Dr. Salehi.”

Getting to know Dr. Masoud Salehi

Dr. Mohammad Masoud Salehi Namin is a psychiatrist at Zoya Clinic. He offers virtual consultations to patients facing mental illnesses affecting their quality of life. He explains the findings and prepares individualized treatment plans. He also answers caregiver queries and schedules follow-up care to monitor progress. Dr. Salehi Namin earned his medical degree from the Iran University of Medical Sciences and completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In many healthcare systems, psychiatrists are expected to see a high number of patients each day, which often means appointments are squeezed and feel rushed. At Zoya Clinic, I take a different approach—I prioritize spending meaningful time with patients and their parents, because that extra time almost always leads to more accurate diagnoses and better outcomes.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My practice philosophy is to understand what’s at the heart of your child’s distress, allowing for treatment that addresses the underlying causes rather than solely focusing on the symptoms.
