Dr. Matthew A Nussbaum, DO

Family Physician
3080 Hamilton Blvd, Ste 200, Allentown, PA
Philosophy of care I believe in treating all patients with dignity and respect. It starts with the doctor-patient relationship, which is based on communication. I strive to listen to patients and understand their background and values in order to tailor treatment to help them achieve their goals in health care as well as life. Health is determined by social and spiritual factors, and not solely physical parameters. Why I entered medicine I chose the career of medicine because I love science and I love people. Medicine provides the opportunity to build relationships over time and affect change in people's lives. Education and training I earned my Bachelor's degree from Gordon College and went on to receive my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Ohio University. I completed both my internship and residency in Family Medicine at St. Luke's Hospital in Allentown. Community involvement I am very involved with my local church. I have volunteered at the Allentown Rescue Mission's free clinic run by DeSales University. Personal interests I spend most of my "free" time with my family enjoying the outdoors and sports. I play guitar and enjoy music and literature.
