From a very early age, I knew I always wanted to be a part of the medical field. My first experience with chiropractic was when I was six years old. My mother took me to a chiropractor because my upper back refused to loosen up after several days. While I can't remember the doctor's name, I'll always remember what he said: “It's going to sound a lot like popcorn.” After being adjusted, I jumped off the table saying how much better I felt, cementing my first positive experience with chiropractic. As I grew older, my interests in school remained with biology and human anatomy, which I still find fascinating. While in undergraduate school at SUNY Binghamton, I majored in biology, aware that I wanted to be a part of the medical field but not necessarily a medical doctor. During the summer between my junior and senior years, I shadowed a local chiropractor because it seemed like a perfect blend of working with my hands and helping others feel better naturally. As the weeks went on, I was in daily awe of how the doctor was so respected and beloved by his patients. It finally felt like I had found my career path. I went on to earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northeast College of Health Sciences, further preparing me to provide compassionate, effective care to my patients.
