Matthew D. Cole, M.D. is a board certified dermatologist. He is originally from Huntington Beach, California and worked for several years as a dermatologist in Orange County prior to joining Insight Dermatology. He graduated summa cum laude and with highest honors from UCLA with a degree in Molecular Cell Biology and received his medical degree from the University of Virginia. After completing an internship in Internal Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine, he completed his residency in Dermatology at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Cole has taught dermatology to medical students and dermatology residents for many years, and is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the UC Irvine School of Medicine. He has authored, published, and presented numerous research articles in prestigious journals and medical meetings. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Cole`s areas of interest and specialized training include all aspects of medical, surgical, and pediatric dermatology, including cosmetic dermatology and skin cancer treatment.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Dr. Cole is very knowledgable & personable. He is strictly allopathic medicine. His front desk staff could have been of more assistance. The front desk person was not helpful & was very rude. A good doctor's office not only has reliable & friendly providers but also a strong admin staff: that is why I will most likely seek care elsewhere.
