Getting to know Matthew Guanzon

Matthew chose psychiatry because of his family's involvement in the medical field. He earned his Bachelor's degree and Master's in Nursing from Florida International University and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of the East/Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center College of Medicine. His overall care philosophy and objective for his patients is to use his medical knowledge and experience while collaborating with the whole psychiatric collaborative team to treat and manage patient needs. Matthew is passionate about meeting his patients’ needs and helping them help themselves. He wants to show that together, both can make a difference in each other’s lives for the betterment of the community. Matthew understands this field requires tenderness and sensitivity to unmask the underlying conscious or subconscious psychiatric or psychological issues. He has an extensive medical background in physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology.
