About Dr. Matthew Mah
Dr. Matthew Mah is a board-certified and second-generation podiatric physician treating the San Francisco Bay Area. He is proud to be a practitioner with the American Podiatry Group.
Dr. Mah is a San Francisco native who is honored to serve his local community. He is qualified to treat a variety of foot and ankle problems including bunion deformities, heel pain/plantar fasciitis, sports related injuries, deformities, fractures, arthritis, as well as a myriad of dermatological conditions related to the foot and ankle.
He received his undergraduate Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at the University of Washington in 2013. Dr. Mah obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in 2018. He then completed a three-year residency training focused on comprehensive podiatric medicine and surgery at the VA San Francisco Medical Center, a UC San Francisco Medical School teaching affiliate, in 2021. He served as chief resident during the final year of his training.
Dr. Mah is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, member of American Podiatric Medical Association, California Podiatric Medical Association and San Francisco Podiatric Medical Society. He is also an attending surgeon at the VA – San Francisco Medical Center, where he trains residents in the latest techniques related to treating the foot and ankle.
He is dedicated to providing his patients with the newest and evidence-based care. His main goal is helping patient return to their normal activities as quickly and comfortably as possible. He strives to involve patients in their own treatment plans to maximize results.
Dr. Mah spends his personal time skiing, golfing, cooking, dining at new restaurants, and going on long hikes with his dog.
