About Dr. Matthew Paterna
While in chiropractic school at the University of Bridgeport, Dr. Paterna originally intended to specialize in sports chiropractic. Once he began visiting chiropractic offices, however, he realized that his profession gave him the opportunity to help people from every walk of life, not just athletes.
Dr. Paterna became convinced that the best chance of living a healthy life clearly begins with gentle pediatric chiropractic care. Getting kids off to a great start through optimal spinal alignment benefits the entire family-from moms, dads, and budding athletes to grandparents, teenagers, and newborns.
“We are creating a legacy of health for families who choose chiropractic care for their children. The younger they start care, the sooner they understand the importance of being proactive with their health,” Dr. Paterna says.
“In 1996, when I was 24 years old, I was given a prescription for Oxycontin® by my family doctor for sciatica. She told me this ‘miracle drug' was non-addictive and would cure my problem.
After three months, I learned the dangers of taking medications for pain as I became addicted. Not only did the drug not fix my sciatica, but it caused several other health issues, including anxiety. Fortunately, my father, who was seeing a chiropractor, convinced me to come with him on one of his visits.
My experience with this chiropractor transformed my life!”

My visit was fastly accomodated, the adjustment felt great, and a frequent jaw adjustment I require was done with ease. I always leave after an adjustment feeling like a million bucks!

I really can't say enough about this wonderful office! Dr. Paterna and his entire staff are amazing. They have helped me so much. Not only are the adjustments excellent but their caring and concern for their patients are top! I have also gained so much knowledge by them taking time to answer all questions. They are the BEST!
