About Dr. Matthew Shawl
I strive to provide every one of my patients with top-quality, compassionate medical treatment. I graduated from Tulane University with a Doctor of Medicine degree and earned a Master’s in Public Health from the same institution. I completed my Residency in Otolaryngology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and a fellowship at Buckhead Facial Plastic Surgery. I am Board Certified and bring excellent medical training to my practice. My staff is courteous and dedicated. I do not overbook my schedule and try not to keep my patients waiting. I operate at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and my office is conveniently located on the south side of Union Square.
One patient will be in the office at a time (please arrive on time so we can accomplish this goal). Every patient must arrive with a mask covering the nose and mouth. You will have your temperature taken at the door before entering. To limit personal interaction, forms can be sent to you to fill out at home, and you can pay your copay over the phone before arrival. Office staff will wear masks and appropriate PPE at all times. Appropriate surfaces and instruments will be cleaned between patients.
We cannot diagnose or treat COVID-19 in this office. If you have fever, headache, muscle aches, shortness of breath, sore throat, cough, or fatigue, please call the office for a telemedicine appointment. If you are in distress, please go to the nearest ER or call 911. We do not diagnose or treat vertigo or dizziness.
If you must cancel your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled date and time. For Monday cancellations, please call by Friday 5 p.m. A fee will be charged for no-shows or appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
