“Doctor and office staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Offices were clean and there was no wait.
My only complaint is that Zocdoc drove me nuts with constant emails and texts leading up to, during and after the appointment. Three reminders in 3 days, asking if I made the appointment on time, multiple reminders to fill out admin forms when they were already completed, etc., etc. ”

About Dr. Matthew Wachtler
Dr. Wachtler graduated from Rowan University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then went on to receive his medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. After completing his medical education, Dr. Wachtler was trained in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery at Morristown Medical Center of the Atlantic Health System.
During his residency, he was elected chief resident and was extensively trained in complex foot and ankle pathologies both clinical and surgical.
Dr. Wachtler is board certified in Foot Surgery and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. He is currently on staff at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ as well as Overlook Medical Center, Summit, NJ. Dr. Wachtler also serves as the Secretary for the Eastern Division of the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society.

Dr. Wachtler is a fantastic doctor. He knows exactly how to treat my issue. He takes into consideration every possible treatment. He makes his patients’ health a priority and does everything possible for you to get relief. He is very thorough, he listens and doesn’t rush. His office staff is also wonderful. They are always very thorough every step of the way. They have compassion for your health and very friendly and professional to everyone who walks into their office. Cosmetically this is an average medical office. The people made my visit exceptional. Melissa was friendly, kind and efficient at the front desk. The medical assistant who brought me in to my room was personable and welcoming. Dr Wachtler was knowledgeable, and has an excellent bedside manner. He actually took my X-rays himself and reviewed them with me immediately. He had patience with my questions. Made my return appt on my way out and another for my partner. Highly recommend this practice. 5 stars.
