About Dr. Matthew Zarraga
Board-certified physician Matthew Zarraga, DO specializes in cosmetic and general dermatology for men and women at Z-ROC Dermatology in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Zarraga is committed to providing high-quality patient care and mastering cutting-edge techniques and new dermatology methods as they become available.
Specializing in cosmetic dermatology and fellowship-trained in cutaneous laser procedures and treatments, Dr. Zarraga improves and enhances the appearance of skin through injectable fillers and neuromodulators, sclerotherapy for varicose veins, and light therapies that target wrinkles, vascular lesions, dark spots, loose skin, and aging issues.
A graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, DC, Dr. Zarraga went on to earn his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was a member of the Psi Sigma Alpha national medical honor society. He later interned at Palmetto General Hospital, where he was awarded the “Excellence in Service Award” for high-quality, compassionate care.
Dr. Zarraga spent a year at a laser research fellowship as a sub-investigator and clinical research coordinator for numerous clinical studies. His dermatological residency was spent at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida, where he was appointed chief resident.
Not only a physician, but also a published author, Dr. Zarraga has co-authored several articles in peer-reviewed, dermatological journals, such as Cutis, Cosmetic Dermatology, American Journal of Dermatopathology, and The Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology. He also co-authored a chapter in a respected plastic surgery textbook.

I love Doctor Zarraga! Everything about him is great. Scheduling should be done better. I had an appointment and was brought into the exam room at exactly the time of my appointment. Changed into a paper exam gown, then waited shivering for 45 minutes before I saw the doctor. Perhaps they could coordinate the time you have to change into a paper gown so it's closer to the time the doctor will actually see you.
Other than that, Doctor Z. is the best!

My trip to the office was very good. Will mention that the computer paperwork for a new patient is not easy for those of us who have technical issues. I did get help.
Found Dr. Zarraga very nice and most interested in me. Felt he addressed my issues and the grafts went well in terms of pain. Just hope there is something found so that the issue can be addressed and resolved.
Look forward to seeing him again as I am in need of my yearly physical.

Five star office. Everyone there was professional and knowlegeable. They treated you with respect and then in the short time you waited to see Dr. Zarraga he was so professional pleasant and knew answers to all of our questions. It was the best experoence and I see why they do so well because they work as a team to makebtheir patients feel comfortable as they understand their treatment options. First of all I got an appointment ONLINE without having to wait for weeks. There were email confirmations and follow-ups and one phone call confirmation. The office was organized, modern and efficient. Great front staff, great nurse (or PA, not quite sure) and the doctor was super personable and thorough. Great office.

Waited in the office for about 15 minutes before seeing Dr Zarraga. He looked at my mole for about 30 seconds before stating it was fine. He seemed rushed. Also, while there I paid my co-pay for my appointment and had asked for a receipt. The woman at the counter had stated all receipts are mailed. (Who doesn't provide a receipt when payments are rendered?!? Apparently this place.) A month later, I still hadn't received my receipt. So, I called the office and they directed me to call a number for their billing department. I then called their billing department and requested that they send me a copy of my itemized receipt. They asked for my account number. I never received a receipt, so how would I know? The woman then proceeded to look up my account by my date of birth. The woman stated that they could send me a receipt for my payment by mail but that it wouldn't state what it was for. (How is it possible that I'm the first person to request an itemized receipt to submit for FSA reimbursement?!?) Overall, my experience with this business has been unsatisfactory and I would not recommend that anyone I know go there.
