Getting to know Mauree Whitaker
I have been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2011 and have always been passionate about whole-person care. In 2022, I returned to school to earn my certification in psychiatry so I could better support my patients’ mental and emotional well-being. I believe that mental health is an essential part of overall health, and I’m committed to providing compassionate, inclusive, and patient-centered care.
I love meeting individuals where they are and helping them feel empowered to reach their full potential. My goal is to create a supportive space where patients can reconnect with their strengths, build resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling life. I was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, and I’m proud to call this community home. I married my high school sweetheart in 2001, and we’re now raising our three children in Watkinsville. We enjoy spending time outdoors, camping as a family, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs—Go Dawgs!
