Speech-Language Pathologist

Welcome! We understand the unique journey of each and every family we serve. We recognize that every child, every individual, and every family has their own story. Our goal is to be your partner on that journey, offering expert speech therapy services and compassionate support every step of the way. We are excited to embark on this journey with you! I am the owner of Embark Speech Therapy and hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Eastern Illinois University, where I also earned my Bachelor's degree. We would be happy to provide you with a speech therapist! Once your evaluation is booked, a speech therapist will be assigned to your child. The evaluation process is effective and comprehensive. Here's what to expect: First, we will consult with you prior to the evaluation to understand any communication concerns. Then we will prepare to conduct a variety of assessments-play observation, informal assessments, checklists, and formal assessments-based on your child's needs. The evaluation can take place in your home, off-site daycare, clinic, or via teletherapy. After that, we will generate a thorough report to determine whether your child qualifies for speech and language services. If your child qualifies, we'll develop an individualized treatment plan with goals to help build successful communication skills! Individual therapy will be provided in your home, off-site daycare, clinic, or via teletherapy. Each speech therapy session is 45 minutes weekly. Typically, a client is seen 1–2 times per week depending on needs and tolerance. A treatment session feels like a fun one-on-one playdate while targeting your child's treatment goals! We combine your child's strengths and needs with fun, motivating activities that match their interests to create effective therapy sessions that produce results. Please reach out with any other questions!
