This appointment was booked through Talkiatry. To be candid, there was a technical issue with their app that prevented me from joining on time. My appointment started at 9 a.m., and I was on the phone with Talkiatry help at 8:55 a.m. This did cause me to join the session 10 minutes late, which I know is not great. Then, Max proceeded to screen me, which went fine. Around the half-hour point of my appointment, Max let me know that he would be unable to treat me for my current issue, which is totally fine. I get it. However, he went on to say that we could end the session early because he could not treat me, and if we did that, I would get charged a fee. How are you going to charge me a fee to not treat me? So then I elected to continue a meaningless screen because I would be penalized for giving Max his time back. I don’t know if it is a Talkiatry policy, but the bedside manner was off.
He was professional and did give help options, but the fee thing threw me off.
