“She was able to squeeze my appointment in at the last minute. I know it added to her workday but she made the effort anyways and I appreciated that. I’m glad I found a provider who actually seems to care and can answer when I call. She also allows for text which is really convenient.”

Getting to know Maya Cho

I specialize in compassionate, personalized medication management for adolescents and adults, using evidence-based approaches to help you regain stability, clarity, and control in your life. I believe care is a conversation, and I work to provide individualized care for each patient. Reaching out for help can feel intimidating, but it’s also a powerful act of courage and self-care. If you’re feeling uncertain, that’s okay. I welcome you exactly as you are. Whether this is your first time seeking support or you're continuing a path you’ve already started, I’m here to listen without judgment and walk beside you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect a warm, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where your concerns are heard and your goals are prioritized. I take a collaborative approach to care, working with you to understand your unique experiences, identify what’s holding you back, and develop a treatment plan that feels right for you. Whether we’re discussing medication options, therapy referrals, or lifestyle changes, I’ll always explain things clearly, answer your questions, and support you in making informed decisions. My goal is to help you feel better, and stay better, while honoring your values and preferences every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first appointment will last between 45 to 60 minutes. During this time, we’ll take a thorough look at your mental health history, current symptoms, and any relevant medical or lifestyle factors. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand your story, not just to make a diagnosis, but to get to know you as a whole person. Follow up appointments are typically 30 minutes and scheduled monthly. These sessions are more than just medication checks. I integrate talk therapy into each visit so we can explore progress, challenges, and emotional wellbeing in depth. Whether you're processing life events, stressors, or working on long term goals, this time is dedicated to helping you feel supported and empowered. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to your individual needs. You’re not just another chart here, your voice and experience matter in every session.

Helped my son who was struggling with some things going on at school. Took time to address my concerns as a parent too. Never felt rushed and always had time for more questions.
Had a great experience with this place after my old psychiatrist wanted to stop my ADHD medication that I need to function. She listened to my concerns and didn’t make me jump through hoops just to get the medication I need. Will continue going here
I’ve had such a great experience at this practice. She is super reliable and always makes time to follow up or check in when needed. She’s easy to talk to, really listens, and makes you feel supported in your treatment. I also appreciate how accessible she is, I can text or email her, it never feels like you’re just another number. Highly recommend if you’re looking for thoughtful, consistent care.
I had a great experience at High Point Behavioral Health! It was so easy to schedule a virtual appointment and be seen without having to leave the house. Maya's attention to care and detail and her bedside manner made me feel safe and comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend!
I had such a positive experience with Maya. She took the time to really listen to what I was going through and made me feel heard and respected from the very first appointment. I never felt rushed, she explained everything clearly and made sure I understood my treatment options. What I appreciated most is how collaborative the process felt. She didn’t just throw medication at the problem, she really cared about finding the right approach for me. I’m feeling so much more like myself again, and I’m grateful to have found someone who combines clinical knowledge with real compassion
