About Maya Font
Maya Font, MS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a strong foundation in medical science and a special interest in dermatology. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware, earning a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Spanish for Healthcare, gaining valuable insight into both the clinical and cultural aspects of medicine.
She went on to earn her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), where she received extensive training in all areas of medicine. During her clinical rotations, she developed a particular passion for dermatology, drawn to the specialty’s blend of medical knowledge, problem-solving, and its impact on patients’ confidence and quality of life.
Maya believes in building strong, trusting relationships with her patients. She values open communication and takes the time to educate individuals about their skin health, treatment options, and preventive care. Her approach emphasizes evidence-based medicine delivered with compassion and attentiveness, ensuring patients feel heard, understood, and supported.

I had an appointment scheduled today and arrived on time, but the office was closed due to an emergency involving Maya. Unfortunately, no one contacted me in advance to inform me. I waited outside in the cold for about 15 minutes.
I even called the office when I saw the door was locked, and the person who answered told me they would have someone open it, but no one came. After waiting longer, I called again and only then was I told Maya was not there.
Your communication is terrible. I booked the earliest available appointment because I am in significant pain, and now, because of this situation, I will have to endure it for at least another week.
I understand emergencies happen, but a simple phone call or message would have prevented unnecessary inconvenience. This was a very disappointing experience.
