Maya Mills, MD, grew up on Long Island, N.Y. She attended the State University of New York at Fredonia, where she received her bachelor’s degree in genetics. She has always had a passion for targeting health care disparities, which led her to New York University where she received her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. She then graduated from St. George’s University with her Doctor of Medicine. As often as she can, she loves to travel to Trinidad and Tobago to spend time with her family. She also enjoys binge-watching her favorite television shows on Hulu and trying out new restaurants. Her professional interests include women’s health, social medicine, teaching and advocacy.
