About Mckenzie Jones
McKenzie Jones is a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner through the DNPCB and Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC. Additionally, she maintains certification through the AMCB as a Certified Nurse Midwife.She has practiced in dermatology since 2013 and joined Latham Dermatology in 2024.
Ms. Jones completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Rochester in 2000 followed by a Master of Science degree in Nurse Midwifery from Stony Brook University in 2003. After many years practicing as a Certified Nurse Midwife, she obtained a Post-Master’s Certificate for Family Nurse Practitioner from SUNY Polytechnic in 2013. She also obtained a Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine through the University of Queensland, Australia in 2014.
Ms. Jones has extensive experience in general dermatology across the lifespan. She holds a special interest in performing dermatologic surgical procedures along with the dermatological management of hormonal and autoimmune disorders. She welcomes all patients and believes in individualized, patient-centered care. She belongs to the Nurse Practitioner Society of the Dermatology Nurses Association and is also a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State.
Ms. Jones is originally from the northern Adirondacks and enjoys hiking, biking, boating, and fine food. She spends her time with her wonderful husband, two grown children, and many friends and family members.
