About Meagan Scherzer
Meagan brings more than a decade of experience in dermatology to Mittal Dermatology. She has the skills and expertise to treat a variety of skin conditions, including moles, psoriasis, eczema, acne, and alopecia.
Meagan earned her Bachelor's degree from Minnesota State University Moohead, and completed her Master's in Adult Gerontology Nursing at St. Catherine University. As a nurse and Certified Nurse Practitioner, her entire career has been focused on dermatology and the treatment of skin conditions. She has experience as an aesthetician, more than ten years as a dermatology RN, and an additional six years as a nurse practitioner in dermatology.
About her approach to care, she says:
"I am passionate about the skin and utilizing my knowledge to address skin concerns. I strive to provide the best patient-focused skincare to each and every patient by identifying conditions that affect the hair, skin, and nails and determining the proper treatment."

Dr.Scherzer was absolutely fabulous and so was her staff, everyone was very friendly, I got plenty of reminders and everything was just communicated very effectively and very concisely, and the doctor was amazing, she had a fabulous bedside manner, and I felt so validated in a lot of my concerns and we got so much done in one appointment and in such a short period of time. I find that most doctors that you make an appointment with, they really only let you address one issue at a time and she not only listened to things about my life in general and validated them, but she also listened to several of my dermatology, concerns and cosmetic concerns, and we got so many things covered in one appointment so I really felt like this was absolutely worth my while my time and my money, I appreciate the staff for being so timely and friendly and taking great notes for the doctor. Everything went really smoothly and I can’t recommend them enough!

She was literally the nicest doctor that I have seen dermatologist, primary care, urgent, care, dentist, all of the doctors
I would recommend her to anyone. She has upbeat and positive and really tries to explain what could be going on and offers. Follow up care or questions without an additional fee.

My provider explained what she thought my rash might be coming from and went over a course of treatment. It was nice not to hear, “ I don’t know what the rash is from.”

Megan is the first dermatologist that I’ve seen that didn’t dismiss my concerns. She was very knowledgeable about medication and OTC treatment options and we came to a decision on a treatment plan together. She gave me a printout of products she recommended to assist with the prescription. Megan wanted me to get lab work done before prescribing medication and I was able to get the lab done there 15 min after my appointment. I had a great experience!
