“I had a great experience! The staff was friendly and the physician's assistant, Meena, explained everything and made me feel comfortable. Some people have mentioned being disappointed that the establishment doesn't offer a grace period for late appointments, but this is clearly communicated prior to booking. I think it's fair because it can affect others' appointments. I respect that policy and would definitely recommend this place.”

About Meena Ego-Osuala

Meena is a certified Physician Assistant who earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland before attending the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she received her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies in 2006. She grew up in Maryland and then moved to Philadelphia to pursue her education. After graduation, Meena returned to Maryland and began her Physician Assistant career in Family Medicine, though she always had a strong interest in Women's Health. In 2016, Meena transitioned into OBGYN and has enjoyed practicing in this specialty ever since.
Meena and her husband live in Northern Virginia. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, taking long walks, traveling, and indulging in skincare.

I was disappointed with my recent experience, as I felt my concerns were dismissed by the provider. Specifically, I was told that the type of pregnancy I described was unlikely, based solely on the provider’s lack of experience with similar cases. While I understand that providers rely on their training and past experiences, this response felt dismissive and misinformed. Additionally, the provider’s communication regarding early ultrasounds was concerning. I was informed that detecting a heartbeat at 5 weeks is not possible, which contradicts my personal experience with multiple pregnancies where heartbeats were detected at that stage. While I acknowledge the provider’s overall knowledge, I believe a more open and empathetic approach would greatly improve the patient experience, particularly for individuals with unique or complex pregnancy histories.”

Dr. Meena has fantastic bedside manner. She answered all my questions and took the time to assuage my concerns.
I would strongly recommend her, especially for procedures that require sensitivity and bedside manner.

She was nice but my biggest complaint is that she didn’t say in advance what she was going to do before she did it. I prefer when my medical professionals tell me what they are doing before touching me while I’m in a vulnerable position.
