**Healthy Horizons Hebiatrics is a “CASH ONLY” practice and IS NOT in network with insurance.** *Generally, our patients are between 10-25 years old, but we can see younger patients.* At Healthy Horizons Hebiatrics, our goal is to help adolescents and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, reproductive health concerns, menstrual problems, identity issues, academic problems such as ADHD and other challenges of adolescence. We enjoy working closely with your primary care physician and other health care team members! We chose not to accept insurance so that we can focus on direct patient care rather than meeting requirements of insurance companies. When needed, we can provide documentation (Superbill) to help support insurance reimbursement for your payments. Dr. Beharry is the founder and primary physician of Healthy Horizons Hebiatrics. She is board certified in both Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. She was born in the Caribbean and grew up in the suburbs of New York City. She attended the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education which was a seven-year pre-med/medical school program and is now CUNY Medical School. Dr. Beharry completed medical school in 2001 at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences Center where she stayed on to complete her Pediatric Residency including a year as 4th year Chief Resident at Lenox Hill Hospital in 2005. Dr. Beharry completed her 3-year Adolescent Medicine Fellowship at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles in 2009. After 12 years of working in academic hospitals and clinics, Dr. Beharry founded Healthy Horizons Hebiatrics to help serve a larger population of adolescents and young adults. Dr. Beharry is very active in professional societies and currently serves as the Treasurer for the International Association for Adolescent Health. She thoroughly enjoys seeing patients and looks forward to meeting you soon!
