Dr. Cook completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise with a concentration in Exercise and Health Promotion from Virginia Tech. She attained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida Campus in Port Orange, FL, where she graduated Valedictorian of her class. Dr. Cook finished her academic career with an internship at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System, where she treated Veterans spanning a wide variety of ages and conditions. During her time at the VA Hospital, she completed medical rotations in interventional radiology, primary care, cardiology, psychology, physical therapy, dietetics, radiology, and pharmacology. As a former NCAA volleyball athlete at both the University of Colorado and Virginia Tech, her love for sports and health is reflected in her passion for treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and practicing root cause medicine. Having experienced firsthand the benefits of chiropractic and functional medicine care during her own orthopedic surgical recovery and health journey, she is passionate about helping others experience the same benefits of chiropractic and functional medicine in their recovery from pain and dysfunction. She has been practicing in the Northern Virginia area for several years and enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and friends, exercising, drawing, and being involved in her local church.
