What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide a comfortable, non-judgmental, and down-to-earth environment where clients feel heard and supported. I’ve worked in psychiatry since 2006 across a variety of settings, and I focus on practical, individualized care rather than a checklist approach. As a busy mom of three, I understand how hectic life can be. I strive to offer flexible, realistic treatment that fits into your life—not adds more stress. This practice is best suited for individuals seeking outpatient medication management. I do not provide urgent or crisis-based care. I do not complete one-time psychiatric evaluations for legal, employment, or administrative purposes (including FMLA, short-term disability, or Social Security). Documentation is only completed for established clients engaged in ongoing treatment, typically after at least 6 months of care. A $75 fee will be charged for missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The initial psychiatric evaluation is 60 minutes. During this session, we will review your symptoms, history, and treatment goals, and discuss appropriate medication options if indicated. Insurance coverage and/or self-pay costs are reviewed upfront to avoid unexpected billing. Follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes and are scheduled based on your individual needs, progress, and stability—not on a fixed schedule. My practice primarily focuses on medication management. In some cases, I may incorporate supportive therapy during follow-up sessions. If you are seeking therapy only, it is best to schedule directly with a therapist. Please allow up to 3 business days when scheduling a new appointment so insurance benefits can be verified and you can be informed of coverage and costs in advance.
