About Megan McLuckie

Megan is a board-certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner specializing in dermatology. She has been working in healthcare since 2014 and has garnered extensive experience spanning health promotion to critical-care and dermatology.
Megan first earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and worked in the community health setting before attending nursing school. As a nurse, Megan spent 7-years as a certified critical care nurse primarily working in cardiothoracic intensive care at the University of Chicago Medical Center. During that time, she earned her Master’s of Nursing Science at Loyola University. It was through her Master’s program that she began gaining clinical experience in dermatology and where she found her passion. Megan then completed a BOTOX® and dermal fillers course through the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery in Beverly Hills, CA. She later went on to complete a post-graduate dermatology specialization certificate at Florida Atlantic University led and mentored by highly-respected leaders in the field, Dr. Margaret Bobonich and Ms. Mary Nolan. During this time, Megan worked closely alongside Dr. Van Dam as well as other highly experienced dermatologist in the Chicagoland area to gain hands-on clinical experience. Since being with Pinnacle, she has continued her cosmetic trainings with Allergan certified trainers, regularly attends educational conferences and has achieved the prestigious national certification in dermatology as a nurse practitioner (DCNP). Her clinical interest is primarily medical dermatology treating acne, rashes, hair loss and performing skin cancer screenings.
Outside of work, she loves to travel to various cities across the US and national parks. Megan is a wellness and nutrition enthusiast and loves to cook. She is a working-dog mom and spends a lot of time learning the

Megan McLuckie, NP, is amazing! She listened carefully to my concerns and created a treatment plan that truly worked for my skin condition. She’s knowledgeable, compassionate, and made me feel completely at ease. The entire staff at Pinnacle Dermatology in Barrington was friendly and professional, and the facility was clean and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I went in for a skin check as a new patient. The office is beautiful. The person who greeted me at the front was very nice and friendly. My appointment was at 10. At 10:20 I went up to the front and asked if I was going to be taken back soon. He asked what time my appointment was at and I had to remind him that it was at 10:00. He said I should be the next one on the list. Several other people were taken back before me. Finally I was taken back to a room a few minutes later where I then sat for another 15-20min. All of this waiting to get a skin check that lasted maybe 4min. The nurse practitioner apologized for the wait. My phone was blown up with email and text reminders the few days before my appointment yet they couldn't take me back on time. I don't mind waiting 10 or 15min, things happen, but waiting almost 45min is unacceptable. I won't be back.
